.Since 1973, the Truckload Carriers Association has been helping students associated with the truckload industry reach their dreams. Their Scholarship Fund awards up to $6,500 per year to full-time college students. Much of the program's support comes from within the truckload family—companies and individuals who are committed to our community's future.
The Truckload Carriers Association Scholarship Fund is open to employee drivers and independent contractors, as well as their children, grandchildren, and spouses of both. Some of the people who receive these scholarships will one day take leadership roles in our industry. Others will become friendly faces in the media, government, academia and other communities that will shape the industry’s future.
Scholarship eligibility: any student in good standing who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior and who is either
- the child, grandchild, or spouse of an employee or an employee of a TCA member; or,
- the child, grandchild or spouse of an independent contractor or an independent contractor affiliated with a TCA member
Qualified applicants also must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
